Reasons why you should join/switch to Domination:

1. Domination gives the maximum mining bonus to all members because of our large number of settlements controlled.

2. We have our own private message board so you can chat with fellow members.

3. We have a guide posted for new members giving your strategies and tips on how to best play the game.

4. Domination only allows players who control settlements and who actually play the game to join/stay in our Alliance. That means that you can be sure that you are actually getting a large number of dedicated players as team members unlike many Alliances who are mostly made up of unplayed accounts.

5. Domination welcomes anyone who can make a contribution and are not elitist like some Alliances that think you arent good enough to join them.

I think that would be a pretty sweet merge.

What's the point of merging an Alliance if you already provide for the max mining bonus on your own?

What point other than bragging rights is it to have more than a 150 settlement bonus.?  It doesn't factor in to attack variables at all...so what gives?

There is more to an Alliance than a mining bonus. For us there is anyway.

Plus if the only reason for an Alliance was the mining bonus then why would anyone join an Alliance with less than 3750 settlements, which is what it takes to get the maximum bonus.

I am getting the impression that this is a "prayer" recruitment campaign, that is usually done when one is behind or are afraid of losing... Just my 'O...

What you say is rather profound and probably erroneous.

I'm not sure exactly what you are implying but I think our numbers speak for themselves.

So far I only see two game related benefits.

Mining bonus, and less people "after" you.

If one of your benefits is your own private forum, I really don't see that as game related other than being able to share coords and such.

I was just trying to figure out why an alliance providing max provisions would need to join another with many times over max provisions...for the private forum?

I just think an alliance that provides above the mining bonus is simply over rated and unnecessary.  They (alliances) need to to incorporated into daily skirmishes amongst other allianced for there to really be a need to be a big and powerful alliance...

As it is now who gives a rat's a** if there are 10000+ settlements in your posession...so you can brag...i'ts about it.

not meaning to flame , just woke up  ...and I'm gassy. :?

Well perhaps Exodus3000 could state if I am correct or wrong.

It is my understanding that everything counts. The combined settlements count will increase the strength and defense of that alliance. The higher the settlement  count of a alliance the more the increase will be.

This would be extra over the members personal stats that also influence the attack and defense. That while a level 20 vs another level 20. Has settings of 50% ratio. The members personal stats including mars dollars. Together with the alliance stats can influence that 50/50 setting to be greater or less then the basic 50/50 for equal levels attacking or defending.

I would hope that is how it is and I just didn't realize it, but I don't think the 20 vs 20 battle or 5 vs 5 battle for that matter is anything more than random...as stated in the rules.  SO to say 50/50 chance of winning is misleading.  You only have two possible outcomes...win or lose so that can be considered 50% odds yes but how often will the win come up is most definitely not 50% of the time.  It's random wins and there are times when my winning far exceeds 50% and then there are days when my wining is lower than 50%.

The odd thing Sly, is you and your alliance far outweigh my stats, but most of the time I would place money on a victory over you in a settlement attack.  Other less "well off" players redily kick my Seal Clubbin a**...even with lower stats than you.  I stil lhaven't fully wrapped my head around it all and at times just seems like a crap-shoot.

As far as I can tell from the rules page the only effect a big alliance has over others is "influence".

"""Alliances: You can create or join alliances to increase your influence over other players. The more players in your alliance, the more influence you will have. There is no limit to the number of players you can have in your alliance."""""

Whatever that influence is has yet to be revealed  afaik.
