If a superweapon is created, I think there needs to be a shield created for the defense of the attack also. For each attack there is a defense and so on. You know, every action has a reaction...+ and -. True and false. White and black. Hot and cold.

Also, seeing someone elses MDs would be useless. Besides, if they are weaker than I am, I'm gonna cut them up nevermind how many MDs they have. Dough is Dough.

Super-Sniper rifle. Three chances to spy on different Homesteads, but only a single shot weapon. Choose your victim wisely.

No defense, but only a single use, single kill.

Depending on the back history of the game, since the superweapon and superdefense are found in volcano mines they could be ancient martian (or other alien) artifacts.

Single shot makes sense in that context because it is relatively easy to figure out how to activate an unknown peice of tech, but much more complicated to figure out how to reload/reconstruct it.

If we assume it to be some kind of powerful beam or anti-matter weapon than the specialized defense shield makes sense as well.  If the defense item only has a limited duration, as it should, then the capabilities to turn it on or off should be included.
