I live in Fargo, so it definately hits home.  Glad to see justice.  Would rather see him rot in jail, however.

22-year-old college student Dru Sjodin disappeared from a parking lot outside the mall where she worked in November 2003. They found her body in April of the following year; she has been beated, raped, stabbed, and left to die in a ravine. Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. was convicted of her murder the other week, and he was sentanced to death on Friday.

North Dakota (where Sjodin was kidnapped) and Minnesota (where her body was found) have no death penalty, but Rodriguez was sentanced to death under Federal Law because he crossed state lines to commit his crime. He had been released from prison less than 6 months earlier, after serving 22 years for assaulting and raping two other women.

I say let's use machines to keep him alive in a coffin underground for the next hundred years. Give him some time to decide if it was all worth it.

(I did some research, and this is the first time a North Dakota jury has sentanced a man to death since 1915. That man was spared a few hours before he was to be hanged. The last man to be executed by the state of North Dakota was John Rooney in 1905.)

I'd say let the bastard die and die quick, why waste taxpayers money keeping him alive. The f^@k!n leach has sucked enough out of society, so get an old rope and hang the sob!
