I'm up to 47, mostly by finding unoccupied ones though from time to time I find one that has little if any defense.

As of last count, 98. Most of them are out on the fringes of the map, and I'd have to buy moves (again) just to reach them to reclaim them, should they ever be captured.

I actually gained 10 settlements today that wern't owned by zonedguy or moon. Moon owns my starting place and up until today I couldn't find a good direction to move towards that he didn't own all of the settlements in.
