new in this game HELP!!

Hi everyone. could someone right me an essay on how to play this game?
i half understood so far. i know how to get cargo, scan around, and where to find the cards. but pretty much thats all.
i ve got few missions but dont understand what they are all about.
and what are those colonies i keep finding (for example "jesus loves you") i find that everywhere. am i suppose to attack it? be friendly?
and what am i gona do with cargo.is the anything else im missing in this game?

and how can i use the radar?

The radar, once you upgrade it above the starting level, will show you the terrain types around you to increasing ranges as you upgrade.

The minerals that are currently filling your cargo can be sold at settlements for cash.

The "jesus loves you" banner is simply the banner of the owner of the settlement.  If you took the settlement over, that banner would change to yours.

The missions are just different objectives to fulfill for cash and/or prizes.

Does some settlements pay you more for your stuff you selling? and if i keep the things im finding from vocano and ruins, can i use them for me? or for missions?

The higher the population of the settlement the better your price will be.  If you own the settlement you also get a bonus.  The "Cards" are special items that are needed for some missions, and most have some direct use in game as well.
