Great idea!  For that matter, I'd put most of the "extras" cards up for sale: homestead takeovers, teleports, etc.

One other idea, and QS, forgive me for taking your excellent suggestion off-topic: I'd actually consider lowering the price for homestead moves.  I think a lot of people are willing to get attacked over and over again rather than pay $6.95 to move (How many homestead moves have people purchased in the last six months?), but if it cost $1.95 to move, a lot more people would do it.  True, you might surrender a bit more on a percentage basis to paypal, but you'd probably still get more total revenue.

Since we have been slowly phasing force cards out of circulation, I don't know that I would want to open them up to direct purchase.  I wouldn't have a problem with offering packs of other cards though.  And mef's idea of lower the cost of a homestead move is probably a good one.

I'm not as opposed to the force card thing, but as a comprimise, what if we took force cards out completely, EXCEPT for direc purchases?  I agree with lowering of homestead move as well.  We will discuss it among admins, but watch for that change soon.  As far as force and/or other card packs, what pricing would you consider fair pricing?

I think if force cards were only attainable by purchase then it could bring revenue for the game. The only problem I see is that there are still way too many force cards out there. I don't know where they all keep coming from but they are always for sale on the forum. Until they are gone, few will buy them. It must be the missions, if so then you must change the mission prizes. I would purchase force cards if that was the only way to get them.

There are currently 1153 force cards among the player base.

I'm a really big fan of keeping prices low and making it up on volume.

I would suggest $1.95 per force card or five for $7.95.

I was thinkin more like $5.00 per force and then maybe somewhat of a break like the fifth one free or something.
I think if they were too cheap it would totally ruin the game, of course I have been the biggest opponent of the force card in this game so maybe my opinion shouldn't weigh in as heavy, definitely need more input on this one.

The problem I see with this is, what’s to stop someone buying enough force cards to use one every day. Any strategy goes completely out of the game and it just becomes a matter of who’s willing to spend the most money.
I agree with Ben that they should be taken out of the mission prizes.

The biggest problem when determining the pricing is how to price them low enough to get people to spend the cash, but high enough to prevent them from doing what you've suggested.  Of course, as someone who is awaiting a payout, I have no problem letting people bid up the prices, but I wonder how much actual cash people will pour into the game.  I'd be happy leaving it up to the admin to find the happy medium.

Actually there are only 3 missions that give out force cards, for a total of 5 forces that can be gotten through mission completion.
