The timewarps are great, but teleporting to the area and using up moves to get to the actual spot is a pain.

And sometimes, I just want to teleport to a certain location.

Thus, I suggest, the Superport!

The Superport would allow you to teleport to an exact location, instead of a region.  You put in the coordinates and it brings you right to the spot.

The game could sell Superports for a very nominal fee, such as 25 or 50c.  I'd keep it low to encourage people to buy several and it will allow people who don't feel comfortable investing a lot of money into the game to do it at a lower level.

There's no real cost to the admins by adding the feature and could generate a few bucks.

The problem is that with Paypal, any charge under $1 really doesn't get us anything at all.  Charges under $0.30 could actually cost us money, ironically enough.

It also doesn't address the issue that moves are extremely easy to get.  That's why people don't buy moves as often as they used too.  Even with the move cost to get to a timewarp, the advantage of doing so is so overwhelming that for most people there isn't a need to buy moves.  I really don't think that they would by these "Superports", at least not at a point where we could actually profit from it.

Both present good points. So, would the smart thing be to stick this idea in your back pocket Jason? Because there may come a time where moves are scarce and some people might rather buy a Superport. Of course, I think they should actually cost a good deal, available either in MDs, real cash, or both. Teleporting to an exact location is quite an advantage, mef. Perhaps you could even implement them into the game as a trade-able commodity.

May be make it so you have to buy at least 10 superports in 1 single purchase?

Jason,

Thanks for the answer.  The paypal solution is easy enough by putting a minimum purchase requirement in.

But your second point is much tougher to get around.  Nobody seemed to like my idea of eliminating timewarps altogether, which would cause some anxiety but, in the end, make moves much more dear.

Let me think about it.  There's a solution to every problem.

Let's not confuse "Timewarps" with "Teleports"

I'd get rid of both to increase the value of moves, but I'm not sure that would add to my popularity. Wink

The only way to make moves more valuable and to get players to actually buy them again is to make stars and moves untradable.
