Suggestion about Start Location

My Suggestion is  that you should always start on your home base or a settlement you currently have.

I think that it would make some sense to have a penelty for not being on your home base or a settlement that you own.  It would make it a lot more challenging and strategical to always have to end up on land that you currently occupy.   That way people would attack settlements more and not be so random in where they venture on the map.

It would be cool if the penalty was  a temporary -1 to defense and securtiy while not on a settlement you own.  I think it just makes sense that while your out in the dunes somewhere your not at home defending and commanding your security.
 
You would also see a rise in people paying $ for more turns.

dont really like the idea of penalty thing.. but... startin at own base on every resets sound good/...

I don't like the penalty but either starting at your home base would be good.

I had two good ideas for our starting locations:

You start every day at a random settlement you control.

or:

You start every day at the settlement (controlled by you) nearest the location where you left off yesterday. Kind of like needing to go to an allied base to refuel the Mars Jeep and refill oxygen bottles every day.


ALSO: One thing occurred to me recently. Does the game system differentiate between free (daily) moves and moves that have been bought, or otherwise awarded?

Suppose I got my 250 free moves for the day, and used them all. I then bought 1000 more. At the end of the day I'm down to 500 moves, and I don't get the chance to use them up before the reset. Will I then forfiet my remaining moves, despite having paid full price for them, or will I come back the next day to find that I have 750 moves waiting for me?

Dont quote me on this but I think it has been stated before that all unused moves are lost at the reset.

All of the moves would go away. He said that he was going to work on separating the bonus/paid moves and the free moves, giving you at least an extra day to use bonus/paid moves.

For now, make sure you use your moves before the reset.

My Suggestion is  that you should always start on your home base or a settlement you currently have.

This is actually an error on our end.  The reset is supposed to send you back to your home base, but apparently it's not been working.  As of tonight, you will begin at your homestead after the reset.  This should really help the game.
