Just an idea here...

Are you familiar with Cafepress.com?  You send them your logo and they put it on any items you ok (tee-shirts, clocks, boxers, etc).  People then go to this site and purchase the items and you get a percentage of the sales.  A not-for-profit that I belong to does this.  So you get the die hards of the game to purchase a tee-shirt or hat, etc...that brings in advertising for you plus you get money off the sale.

I'm sure you could even do the items to be prizes at first.  I mean who would turn down a free Exodus 3000 tee-shirt?   Maybe come up with some catchy martian logo/slogan and you bring in others who don't know about the site but like the logo and then join.

I was just wondering if there are more uses planned for MD in the future? (Forgive me if it's been posted, I didn't see anything addressing this) With only upgrades or cashouts to spend on, eventually everyone will be upgraded and have no choice but to hold their $ for payout.

Some suggestions for spending:
Additional types of upgrades like Lucky talismans (increase odds of weapons/defense/motherlodes), Endurance(maybe the volcanos hold more MD, but you're just not strong enough to mine it all), Mining Equipment (better equipment=better processing of minerals for MD), etc.

Raffle some prizes every month. Each "ticket" could cost X MD, so even newbies have a shot at winning something cool (and odds would still be in favor of paying players who have more MD to buy more tix)

Auction some prizes (don't know how complicated this would be), so players are bidding their MD against each other for prizes.

Teleportation stations (sort of mentioned before) at random locations. If you find one, you have to pay x MD to travel to random new coordinates (this could also bring in revenue, if I found a station on my 240th move, I'd probably buy more moves to make use of it!)

I also like beccaa_lynn's idea of an Exodus merchandise store. I'd save up MD for a t-shirt even if it cost 30,000 MD

I like your ideas....very creative. I think I will start offering apparel for purchase, and also as in-game prizes. Any idea on what t-shirts should say?

how about something cheap but we can actually use...
i once wona glow pen from online contest and its awesome.. i love this pen hehehe.. how bout such things.. alittle more expensive but worth it and less number in volcanos instead of huge one and not worth it .. ..

or u can exchange those gifts if u want.. like if u won them but u dont want them.. u do an exchange sub forum or something: where u can sell those either for moves or for MD ... and stuff.. (u dont recieve it if u wona exchange it u just posted up and u send an admin or watever that u wona exchange it instead.. this way the admin will send it to the person that bought it directly instead..
