Nothing like wasting moves to find out that the store isn't opened yet.

Some of the most "Outrageous" prices that I have ever seen, :shock: ,
don't these people want to sell their items, I would rather wait a day and
get my stuff at the trade auctions than pay the store prices !

Another idea I would like to add to this is:

Each person that has a store should be able to advertise
their top "3 BEST" sale prices on items that they are selling.

example:
Moves: 3md's each,
Blue star: 2,000md's each
Black stars: 100 for 2x 1k MD cards.


This way a person could come to this thread and check out what
each store owner has for their special for that day or week,
sure would save a lot of time,
and if a seller really wanted to sell their items,
they could advertise their special prices in their store thread.

some store owners only have a few things for sale, after they sell then there is nothing available to a buyer.

Store owners have the right to charge whatever they want for an item, if someone does not like the price then don't buy it, go to a different store.

you can advertise your store, by using the edit option.

The only problem is that you can only sell so cheap. The game allows you to go no less than 3500 for yellows and 4000mds for blues. There is a set minimum you can sell at and that is probably why the prices stay at that level. Every item has a set minimum so if you cant get it cheaper than that at a store it would be better finding it in the trading forum.

One of my alliance members was complaining to me about going to three stores that weren't open or nothing in them.  It is very irritating to spend a ton of moves and there is nothing there to buy!!  I had the same thing happen to me today.

This, just like the single coordinate journals, all go back to the one central tenant it would be useful to remember:  Nothing is static in this game.  Everything interacts with everything else.  

Since early 2007 there has been at least a few, and often several dozen if not more, players actively moving around and doing things at any given time of the day.  Those things including finding stuff and buying things in stores.    Unlike missions, which are always there after you have accepted them, things that you find in the game (journals, stores, stars, cards, etc.) are not always going to be the way they were the last time you looked.  The store that is empty when you go there, could have a dozen items put up in the next six hours.  Those dozen items could, and usually are, bought up by the other players within a few hours.  

If you only hit a given store once every twenty four hours, that's 23 hours and 59 minutes that the other players could be there and doing things you would never know about.  Ben's example of busted homesteads is qutie appropriate.  You know about a particular horder that you hit every day.  But you have know idea how many other players also know about that horder, and are doing the same thing.  Unless it is an admin's homestead with an artificially inflated (and regenerated) bank account, that horde is going to be rapidly diminished and one day, you are going to hit it and it will be tapped out.  More than likely, you are not the one who got the last MD out there.  

Remember,  Just because something is in the game doesn't mean that it will always be there, or always be like it was when you saw it last.  The game was designed to be dynamic and changing.  It's one of the few elements that players unanimously like about it.

Since there are price minimums on the items in the store, there would be no way to differentiate one store from another if they were all clustered together.

I would like to also point out that the game takes 10% from store owner per transaction, that figures in to owners prices, at least mine
