the person who was actually in the negative would owe the game more mds, yes.
This is also the reason why the digging was set so that if you have less than 500 mds at that time, you can't dig. (You can't dig yourself negative)  However, say you have several failed attacks, and you lose mds on all those attacks you CAN put yourself negative which then screws up the system, and it seems to double the mds counts so when the admin fixes it... the mds have to come from somewhere, most likely from the person who went negative in the first place and the person or persons who continued to attack the same negative person... giving themselves loads of unearned mds.   :x

actually... if you won a negative attack against someone who had negative mds, you would have actually been credited an EXTRA  3020 mds.. therefore, you would owe the game  3020 mds

My math has been pretty poor today but surely this would mean that philot is DOWN 3020 MDs here.

Winning 3020 MDs would mean adding to philot's MD count, but winning MINUS 3020 takes them away, correct?

hehe  it IS confusing and has been this confusing for a long time. But we had it all figured out a long time ago even though it tells you that you won a negative amount, it actually doubles what you win (gives you double amount positive) and the person who is negative actually loses a double amount..
which is why that glitch REALLY messes up the game.

If you don't believe me... ask david sometime how the glitch works and if you ABUSE it.. what happens to all the upgrades you buy from that abuse  :twisted:

In other words, if you attack someone and win a NEGATIVE amount, Please report it to an admin so it can be corrected BEFORE you continue to attack that same person or others attack them... it just messes everything up.. and you think you are getting a good thing.. but it will come back to kick you when it gets discovered

That happened before. And I received my Mds back. But now, I don't know what happen with Krista.

I attacked another guy and happened that. Krista back me my mds lost.
Now I attacked another one, and happened again.

It happened to me a few months ago, my attack was successful -6000 somethin. (I lost 6k not gained)
I repeatedly sent email and PMs to admin, no answer. So I just gave up and forgot about it.

They don't care about the problem. Or have time cause they got lives too, and so on.

Actually, you would normally have won 3020 mds. With this situation, you would have had 3020 taken from you, and the game would actually owe you 6040 mds. That is if you should have won that many mds, buyt if the person was  in the negative, then you should not have won any mds and are only due the 3020 Krista already gave back to you.
