this would be a cool idea if this idea could be implemented in such away that it wouldn't add any more stress to the already delicate finacial status of the site.

How about fixing the Outposts view so that when you land on them you can see the purchase price?  Right now they are offset most of the time and you can't tell what the next amount is.

Since you can pay 1000 MD to land at Homestead, how about the same option but you input the location of a settlement that you own so that it puts you there.

If you want to set this up so that it doesn't bring additional MD into the game you'd have to add a "commission" on top of the regular price. But then people would just buy stuff from outposts that aren't owned by anyone, because there'd be no commission. Unless...

I think the solution is, the next time prices are raised or new items are added to the game is to figure the commission into the increase/new item's price, like maybe 1% on top of what something would otherwise cost. Then, if someone does NOT own an outpost that "commission" would be put back in the game, like maybe in vaults in different ruins for people to find. If someone DID own an outpost, they could decide how much commission, up to the maximum (of say, 1%), to charge on different items.

The reason you'd put the commission back into the game if someone does NOT own an outpost is so that people don't complain that "all these people buying outposts is causing inflation", since the amount taken out of the game when something is purchased would be the same regardless of whether someone owns the outpost or not.

There should be a limit on how many outposts someone can own, like maybe five, so that everyone at least has a shot at buying one. Also, people should be able to sell each other outposts. You should also be able to sell an outpost back to the game (although, for somewhat less than you bought it for).

You do it this way and there should be a slight decrease in total MDs in the game, as outposts would be something else people could spend their money on.

Very interesting concept.  Could be a good idea but it sounds too complicated almost.  I think it probably would just mess things up within the game and allow the all ready strong to just get stronger....
