it seems both the clue and the location have changed
there would be no point for the first clue
to be replaced if otherwise

i will not find that odd
hence nadine says a lot of players found the location
and also i'm sure we have all have seen several
trying to sell/buy the coords in trading post
and even here, and i also thought
such stuff was reason for ban

well after wandering several days
on half the map after the wrong clue
cuz i had no idea it was changed
i am having second thoughts if i should return
to revisit the same places again for nothing
hence it seems it can change at any time again
i think this needs to be found at random
after a certain number of moves
or something

by the way i wasted 15 k moves for nothing if not more
and i think i want them back

I think Anthraxus changed the "clue" because it was wrong.. if you figured out the original clue.. you can see the new "clue" in the new message..
The location didn't actually change though..  He just had it wrong  :wink:

Those "trades" buying/selling the coords.. were ok to do, as Anthraxus also told us, in chat, that we could do so IF we could find the location.

And lastly.. you are not the only 1 to have used MANY MANY moves up trying to find it's location.  :twisted:

is this the right clue. i have not seen any other and reading through the forum  it looks as if there is. just wondering before i start mission again. by the way thanks for the clue this will be my third time attempting.

So I found the mission and have the card, and read this whole thread. I still don't know what the alien relic is for or if it's worth it? Has anyone gotten the relic and is it worth it? Thank you.

Well....
It boosts your levels for 6 hours and if you are lucky and have moves to spend, then you can grab a motherload of settlements easy
Unless you dont want them

I have read and re-read the clue several times and still
cannot understand it. I have spent several thousand moves on
it to no avail... Anyone care to help out this little lady into understanding it?

I cant give out any coordinates, but I didnt spend thousands of moves to find it either. The clue I thought i understood, but it turned out i was dumber than i thought
Anyways, i searched the whole quadrant systematically. Meaning, started from the bottom left to the right horizontally and jumping 3 lines at every end. Then going straight and only deviating if i was to see a dune. I found it in about 8 full turns. Thats all I can say and i hope it helps

"While perusing the wares in this Outpost you overhear a conversation between an old settler and the proprietor of the shop. The old man mentions that he was out in the dunes of Margaritifer Terra and stumbled across this old pile of rusty scrap metal, half buried in the fines. There was something shiny in there, but it made a weird humming noise when he approached so he took off. Armed with the knowledge of a rough location for the relic you quietly slip from the shop, heading for your AREV.

From his description you know you will need to boost your strength to free the relic (1 Force Card).
