I get this mission
"While perusing the wares in this Outpost you overhear a conversation between an old settler and the proprietor of the shop. The old man mentions that he was out in the dunes of Margaritifer Terra and stumbled across this old pile of rusty scrap metal, half buried in the fines. There was something shiny in there, but it made a weird humming noise when he approached so he took off. Armed with the knowledge of a rough location for the relic you quietly slip from the shop, heading for your AREV.

From his description you know you will need to boost your strength to free the relic (1 Force Card).
Reward:1 Alien relic"

what is an Alien relic and how do I get it
excuse me the English

I would assume that you have to teleport to Margaritifer Terra. Once there search all the dunes until one pops up with a message that you have found the Alien Relic .... Providing .. of course ... the have a spare force card on you.

Have Fun

I too have used a lot of moves. Close to 4000 and no luck. Other
players in the game have used over a 1000 moves and this is way too many.

Are you sure this mission is functioning correctly?

If it is and this is only one leg of a series, is there anyway I can
deactivate this mission?

Took less moves to do the whole transponder mission and that was even
after I screwed up and transported to wrong area of map. Did pick up a lot
of settlements along the way but don't expect to hold onto them for long.

Hopefully some changes will be made to this one.   :x

This mission is working properly.  You simply need to have a force card to complete the mission. There are no missions which require you to do more than simply possess the stated requirements to complete it.  The Alien Artifact is similar in nature the Transponders.  Acquiring the item is automatically tracked.  The items cannot be traded, and therefore are not reported anywhere.  If you have completed the mission, it is assumed you have the item, until such a time as you complete the mission that takes it away.

Please, oh please they cried
Downcast their faces were
Crestfallen they did roam
Perhaps somewhere off in the fines
Varily there does lie the relic
Varily forever wander forever shall they.

You can thank Pepsi and Gold for this hint.  They bugged me in chat for one, so it's only fair that everybody gets to see it.

I guess I'm done with the missions as I do not get the clue and I've used all the moves I'm going to on this monotonous mission. I haven't seen any place where you can ask to have it deactivated and since I stupidly activated it and now am not going to complete it I am done. I t was not explained on the mission page that this was a puzzle  nor that it would be so costly. Sad  Sad

YaY thanks for the clue ... but which lines actually mean something? The only thing I have gotten from it is ... a headache!

Thanks Pepsi and Gold for bugging Jason  lol!

Has anyone actually completed this mission yet Jason?

Thanks,
