Hello eric! Took a break from my site work to pop in and look around.

Saw your suggestion, also saw your required amount of mars dollars to obtain the payout.

Try this, create another landing page that members will randomly land on when they click on the ruins page link. Make it something like Square Deal Sams Grab bags. Have like 4 grab bags to purchase. Figure out a proitable percentage for the site using a percentage scale. Have everything in those grab bags, including upgrades, 48 hour attack proof defense, a one time never lose attack, a base finder good for 4 hours, a 20% increate of MM found for 12 hours. Use you imagination. Smiley Ask your members for ideas.

But have at least 2 of those grab bags filled always with dust. One grab bag with almost the same amount of money that the member paid for. One with a slight increase and/or every so often a Great game item or multiple game items.

You need to have it set so the same order of the bags don't pay the same always.

Sell those bags at moderate to very high prices.  Make the prices radom, as well as the contents. This should help you reduce the mars dollars in the game and make members happy to get speciality, rare, or great items.

Good luck with your site!

I actually really like the idea...

It brings more interaction in the game other than just *click*...*click*...*click*...

It makes you think and such...

Instead of dust, make it moon rocks...people will go "How the hell did that get on Mars?!?!"

Not if eric creates more upgrades then the current ones in the game at this time. The main 4 basics of these kind of games; strength, defense, scout, security can remain the same. Just add something extra for the max out players. Going from level 20 attack to level 20A attack, level 20B attack and so on.

One extra (level 20A) could be a one always win attack every 20 days against player of same level.

One extra (level 20B) could be a one always win attack every 15 days against player of same level.

And so on.

..you lost me...

haha, just kidding...

but for this "always win", would there be an option to win a settlement, or would it randomly be played in as you go about attacking?

Like, I would like to win every settlement I attack that is a part of the Domination alliance, but if I attack a Jrobb settlement, I wouldn't mind failing on it once in a while...

I think it would be useful if you had a button to click when you get on a settlement that would give you the auto-win, otherwise, you never really know that it came into play with the randomness that already is the system...

you think there could be any other moderations with this one, Chris?

I  mean, there are a lot of different options with it...

I remember this idea

I love it. I'm sure players will spend their MD on it just as they have with the dig option. Better yet maybe put them in either dunes or plains that way players will use more moves to check out what has always been a waste of move to go to.
