I've been reading the complaints as to the cash-out, which is quite high, and a bit frustrating. There is a finite amount of revenue generated by buy-ins and ad revenue, and it must not be meeting the growing shares in the pool, thats the simple reason its getting harder to cash out real money. I suggest a very simple concept, to make the game funner for those of us that can't afford or don't wish to buy-in for additional moves. There should be  raffles available, along with cash out on the 1st of every month, where for lets say 1/10th of the cash out total, (which right now would be about 9,000md) lets you buy a hot raffle ticket, in which there is a really good chance to win either $20 or a gift certificate of that amount. So if you loose it, you have a chance to win next month, a GOOD chance. Eventually, everyone would probably hit SOMETHING  and it wouldn't feel so far away for a chance to win ANYTHING. There might be several different raffles, but it wouldn't be hard to create them. Erik could even charge a 10% premium to play and I still think it'd be a move in the right direction. So everyone's happier and its not such stress to attain the high md totals. One could even use a state's lotto numbers on the 2nd or 3rd , to make sure its honest.

that sounds like a good idea, assuming a lot of people bought into it then it could remove a lot of MD out of the game.

How about making the number of raffle winners be determined by the number of raffle players? Let's use the 1/10th of cash out as the ticket price. You could have it where every 25-30 rafflers creates a new raffle winner, that way the odds are never awful, and everyone has a decent shot even if a lot of people play.

So maybe:
up to 30 people = 1 winner
31 - 60 = 2 winners
61 - 90 = 3 winners
91 - 120 = 4 winners
121 - 146 = 5 winners,
and every 25 people = +1 winner after that.

And I think it should be for $20, not a gift certificate. I hate gift certificates. Don't think they're any cheaper than cash, anyway.

Yep, but inflation is still a problem. Plus, it's not like there's that many topics less than a month old to reply to. Don't think I'm making the new stuff hard to find by adding to these old threads.

Anyway, it's all new to me.
