In the rules it talks about alliances. They say that there are a maximum of 50 people per alliance and that the more people you have in your alliance the more influence you will have. I have a few questions regarding this sense it is very vague.

1.) How do you join an alliance? When you find someones base you can't join them, you can only attack or scout. Do you have to hit someone on the map or what?

2.) Influence? It says that the more people in your alliance the more influence you will have, influence how? Will your attacking or defensive power go up?

I feel that this needs to be clarified in the rules or that a separate "Getting Started" article should be drafted, outlining things in more detail. I know a lot of the interface is intuitive, since there are only a few options for you at a time, but there are obviously some things that some people won't understand/need further clarification (based on this forum).

I volunteer to create, or help create, this page.

Also on the main page for the forum, it still says "Test Category 1" left over from the initial install of PHPBB. Pretty simple to fix, yet easily unnoticed.

The only other thing that I dislike is the forum in line on the site. Whenever something is submitted or you scroll down the page when something comes up, like a message confirmation page, you have to scroll all the way to the top to see what it says vs being brought to a new page with the info.

If you would like some assistance in fixing this I would prove a valuable resource. The simplest way would be to run the site off of include files for the header, footer and navigation and then just implementing the includes into the templates of the forum before the actual forum code itself. This shouldn't be very complicated, you just have to start a table before the forum code and end it after the forum code.

All of that aside, this is a great game and I wish you success in the near future.

Sorry for being vague about that, there currently aren't enough members (we have about 400 right now) to have alliances, but that will be added within the next few days.

When you have more influence, you earn more money when attacking bases, and you lose less during failed attacks.  You can currently gain influence by governing settlements.

Thanks for pointing this out, it's been removed

I agree, this sucks.  I have changed it so that the forum opens in a new window.  This should eliminate the scrolling problems.

Thanks for your suggestions, I've given you an additional 100 moves for today.

Are there plans to display the level of influance in the stats page in the near future?
