Ok I just scouted someone and it said their defense was 8. Im gonna give myself away here but at the moment my attack is 9. Anyway it came back and said I LOST and i lost mars dollars.....this has happened twice today in the same set of turns. Earlier i lost to a defense level 5. Admin....whats going on?
Here is an example. Sorry saint for attacking you but i Knew that i would lose cuz of this freaking Bug.

THen I get
Your attack failed, and you lost 10 Mars Dollars!

Someone said elsewhere that it appears that when scouting, the game is reporting another of the player's stats, possibly intelligence or security. I too think I'll wait until this is fixed to use my moves.

ya cuz it also told me that zonedguy had a defense of 8....and i know hes higher than that

This is a bug that has existed since last night, and it's fixed now. Scouting was reporting the security level, rather than the defense level. Everyone who reported it has been given some bonus moves.

While i was playing a couple minutes ago, the same thing happened to me. I lost a bunch of attacks that way.

Just letting everyone know that there still seems to be a problem with the scouting. When scouting zonedguy i got no response as to whether my scouting failed or get a report of his defense. I have PMed admin reporting the problem and just wanted to inform everyone else. Am i the only 1 with this problem or are there others?

Failed scouts give no message. Successful scouts work correctly now.

ok aparently in the scriping fever to fix the other scouting bug there has been another one
i dont know if i am the only one with this problem but if you scout a settlement owned by "insert name here" his def is "6" so you attack
you get the magical you succeeded you are now the govenor message and check settlements there are no new additions. also if i try to scout another settlement owned by the same person it says i have already scouted this settlement today.
could admin look into this because i am saving my moves until this is fixed
