TRADE FORUM GUIDELINES

Trade Forum Guidelines as of September 22, 2007

1. Anyone wishing to trade may only perform ONE trade per thread. You may not make multiple trades in the same thread. All new trades must be done in a separate thread. Multiple trades in the same thread will be ignored.

2. Subject lines for Posts are to be made in ONE of TWO ways:

a) Private trade between _______ and ________. OR
b) Looking to Trade my _________ cards.  (or similar)

The only people allowed to post in a private trade will be the two parties involved in the trade and the Admin who completed the trade. All others will have their posts deleted and will be charged for interfering in a private trade. If you feel you have something to say to either party, use the PM feature on the Forums.

3. Trade fees are as follows:

Subscribers trade for FREE
Non-subscribers* MUST pay 250MD PER TRADE.

For clarification purposes: The Term Subscriber means someone who has a weekly or monthly subscription for the game. The Term Non-subscriber is someone who plays for FREE.

*Note that if you do not have enough MD's to pay the trade fee, your MD Cards will be cashed in to complete your trade.

4. Trade format MUST be as follows:

Example:
Party One: (YOUR GAME ID)
Party Two: (THEIR GAME ID)

Party One: (WHAT YOU ARE GIVING)
Party Two: (WHAT THEY ARE GIVING)

MAKE SURE if your GAME ID is different than your FORUM ID you specify it in your trade.

Party ONE will write the proposed trade. PARTY TWO will then CONFIRM it.

Once this has been done, NO changes are to be made to the post by ANYONE. DO NOT PLACE AN OFFER FOR A CONFIRMED TRADE.

5. Please list all items to be traded ONE ITEM PER LINE.  

Example:
20 white cards
5 homestead assaults

6. Do not edit your trades/confirmed trades.

7.  If you confirm a trade that you do not have the cards/moves/mds for, you WILL be charged a 250md trade fee, subscriber or non-subscriber.

8. ALL posts not following these guidelines will be deleted. NO EXCEPTIONS.

9. Finished trade posts will be locked by the Admin who completed the trade and moved to the Closed Trades forum to keep the Trade forum clean.

10. Admin will have up to 24 hours to complete the trade. If it has been longer than 24 hours, please Email Admins@exodus3000.com. You will need the Subject heading of your trade, a link to your post and when you posted it.

11.   If your trade has been completed and you feel there was an error, please send a PM here on the forum to the Admin who confirmed your trade which includes a copy of the Trade Confirmation Email you would have received when the trade was completed.  We can’t fix it without the trade confirmation email.

12 If you are not bidding on a trade, do not post in the trade thread.  Keep opinions/discussions to the other forums or PM, please.

13. Members of the same household,organization,IP address are not allowed to trade/gift items to one another under any circumstances.

14. Please remember that not only are the Admins your friends,  they have feelings, and lives outside of Exodus.  We do all we can to take care of your trades, and any other issues, in a timely manner.

15. Admins have the option to allow or veto any trades that are not appropriate or circumvent what is best for the game.  Admins decisions are final.

FAILURE to follow the above guidelines will result in the following:

1st offense: 48 hour ban from Trade Forum
2nd offense: 1 week ban from Trade Forum
3rd offense: 1 month ban from Trade Forum
4th offense: Permanent ban from Trade Forum

The current prize for a full set of Exploration cards is 2000 moves and 10,000 mds for the first 3 sets redeemed, and all after are1000 moves and 5000 mds.

Remember-when you redeem your set(s) of cards, you will lose any and all duplicates you have.  

You MAY redeem more than one set at a time, if you have accumulated the proper amounts of cards.  Please advise the admin processing the redemption of how many sets you are redeeming.

The quickest way to have your Exp sets redeemed is to post in the "Payouts and Prizes" forum.  Alternatively, you can request your redemption in chat if there is an Admin around, or send an email to Admins@exodus3000.com

Bumps--the process of posting in your own thread to move it to the top of the forum--is now only permitted in the Trading Post once every 12 hours.  Any posts that are "bumped" more often than that will be deleted.  It creates more work for me to have to check every thread only to see its just a bump.  Anyone who is looking for cards to trade only has one page to look thru.  Bumping will not help. Also, UNLESS you are the Original Poster for a thread, do NOT bump a trade to be confirmed.  I likely won't look at the thread if the OP isn't the last poster.

Along that line-please DO NOT send me a PM that you have a trade to be completed.  This takes up more of my time.  I see what trades need to be done by looking in the Trade Forums, not from PM's.

Exploration Cards--it is not allowed to trade your 'extra' Exploration cards to another player for the purpose of redeeming a set, then trading them back to yourself.  This is circumventing the whole point of having Exploration Cards flush when you redeem. There is no problem with legitimately trading your cards, or gifting your cards.  Passing extras back and forth between 2 (or more) players for the express purpose of avoiding the cards being flushed is not permitted.

Effective IMMEDIATELY, the only Exploration Cards that will be eligible to be traded will be the semi-rares and rare.

To clarify, the only Exploration cards that can be traded from now on will be

19 23 41 58 68 70 79 100

If you have a full set of star cards, it can be redeemed for one of the following:


2 Force Cards and 2500 moves
or
5000 moves
or
1000 moves and $5
or
10 credits and 1000 moves

Please post in Payouts and Prizes to redeem your sets!

Effective immediately, you will no longer be able to trade Cashout Cards.

HOWEVER--A new exchange option has been placed in Time Warps for changing your Cashout Card(s) for other items, should you not need or want any that you find.


So if you have a Cashout Card and want to get rid of it, take it to a Time Warp to trade it in.

I have noticed in the past few days instances of people bidding up item(s) then withdrawing their bids.  

Do NOT bid on an item unless you are sure you are interested.  Doing this isn 't fair to the Admins--we have to go through and cancel every offer that was made due to your canceled offer.  It isn't fair to other bidders.  It isn't fair to the seller.

The *only* reason you should be canceling and offer is if the OP has had the offer up for too long without accepting/acknowledging trades.  I think 24 hours is more than fair.  

Anyone canceling a bid before the 24 hour time line will get a warning.  Twice will result in a one week ban from the trading post.

Trading is a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT.

-The Admin(s) have the right to Veto and/or Delete any trade they deem unacceptable, at any time, without discussion or warning.  

-Any attempt to 'pool' MDs together in order to facilitate a cashout is strictly prohibited.  This includes, but is not limited to: donating MDs or items for the purpose of cashing out; selling items at an unfair basis (ie 1 white star for 100,000mds); using a third party to attempt to transfer mds or items to attempt such 'pooling'.  This applies to family members, relatives, acquaintances, strangers, alliance members.

-If a trade is done that is later deemed to have been inappropriate due to any of the above, the Admin(s) reserve the right to remove the questionable items from BOTH parties even after the trade is completed(meaning you will NOT get them back).

-Violating ANY of the above can be grounds for a temporary or permanent ban from the Trading Forum and/or Exodus3000 without discussion or warning.  Any abuse of the Trading system will not be tolerated.

Any issues with such actions can be taken up with the Admin team at admins@exodus3000.com.

Trade forum is for posting trades ONLY.  Not bantering back and forth, not interjecting in other peoples trades.  Anyone who does not follow the trade forum rules (read:  the ONLY postings in ANY thread in the trade forum should be an offer, a request, or a confirm!) will be banned from trading.  

If you feel the need to chit-chat, do it via PM.
